you might be a DRAMA QUEEN if:

You identify closely with a soap opera character. Your favorite author is Barbara Cartland. You own a fainting couch and use it...often. You practice crying prettily in front of the bathroom mirror. Meryl Streep declined playing your life story because she doesn't have the range. You go through more than one box of Kleenex per 'cry'. You've fainted more than once in the past twelve months. You have ever uttered, "I could just SCREAM!" Scarlett O'Hara is your role model. You strike a pose upon entering a room. You've had a temper-tantrum since turning eighteen. No one ever asks you how you are because they're afraid you might tell them. Your life is in turmoil...and you LOVE it!

New Babies in the House!

Last October 28, 2006, something magical happened. Louise, my shih tzu gave birth to five cute puppies! It was totally unexpected for us as we were expecting her to give birth sometime this month yet. Much to our surprise, it happened this soon. That's what happens when you don't bring your dog to the vet for check up. I'm guilty. Anyways, it happened a few minutes before 12 noon. I was upstairs then I heard Deda called over shouting that Louise is giving birth. Talk about panic attack, I didn't know what to do. We went to the clinic immediately. She was on labor for over an hour. While waiting, I called up mommy and told her that she now has grandchildren. I felt her shock over the phone. Hahaha! Then I said, Louise is giving birth. And she said she'll be here in Manila momentarily. With four puppies out and everything okay, we went home already. After a few minutes inside the house, Deda said that there's another puppy coming out! It was unbelievable. If you've seen my dog, you wouldn't believe she was carrying five puppies inside of her. She had four girls and a boy. They are really, really tiny. I can't even hold to feed them. Thanks to Deda for her unconditional love for dogs. They grow up quite fast. I wish they grow up like their mother.

Cheap Thrills

I am touched by the shallowest of things and because of that when it comes to cheap thrills, I have A LOT to say, being a cheapskate that I am. (Read: cheapangga). Ha Ha Ha!

Cards and letters. Like most girls, I keep all the cards and letters given to me from way back when. They are neatly kept inside boxes and I read them constantly. I really miss those days when my friends and I exchange notes even if we do see each other almost everyday. Those were the days when emails and internet were still strange. There’s always a different kind of excitement in opening and reading a letter or a card from a lover or a friend, almost the same feeling in opening a gift. I remember in high school and college, I used to keep even the gift wrappers inside my cabinet. It stopped when I began buying and collecting stuffs for myself and had no room for those “trash”, as my mom would call it.

Stamps. I’m talking about rubber stamps/inkjet stamps. I don’t know why but I have a thing for rubber stamps. I’m fascinated watching bank tellers and people in the embassies stamp away! I know it’s weird. Hehe. To satiate my fascination, I bought several date stamps I am now using at work and one with my name on it. Dyna has been a witness to this and makes fun of me about it. Much to my delight, she volunteered to have a stamp done for me with my choice of print. I dare not say what the outcome was (hahaha)!

Notebooks, notepads and the like. I used to collect stationeries in grade school. Remember those scented ones and those of Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, Kero Keroppi, etc.? Those were the days… Today, I love notebooks in beautiful designs and notepads, too. I like my Havaianas notepad most especially. Thanks to Leah, I now have an F4 notepad. Dao Mingzu!!!

Magazines. Not too many years ago, each time I am not carrying a shopping bag during my trip to the mall, I make sure I buy a magazine, at least. It started with Cosmopolitan, then there was Preview, Mega, Metro, Philippine Tatler, Real Living, Our Home and InStyle. Then I subscribed to Preview and InStyle. Thanks to Metrobank Femme card, I had a free subscription to Mega magazine for a while. Sometimes I would just leaf through the pages and that was it, but I couldn’t part with every single copy I had. It just kept piling up. I made a plan to donate them to small beauty parlors and NGO’s but I decided to cut out my favorite articles first. I never had the chance to do it. I better start soon before I start my subscription to O magazine!

Surfing away. Net surfing, that is. My cheapest thrill is ogling and salivating with drool-worthy items and collections from different websites… It is something I can do every single day, busy or not!  Consequently, I shop online. However, I know where to draw the line when it comes to online shopping...that is a major torture though!

Food.  People close to me know that food is one of my weaknesses!  I can never say no to food.  I just love to eat!

Malling.  I'm a certified mallrat...but I am NOT a blackbelt shopper!!!

Flip Flops. I have a love affair with flip flops for quite some time now, more particularly with Havaianas. I don’t know if it is considered “cheap” as I even had to ask my friends abroad to buy the styles not available locally. I do order online, too. I love my Wonder Woman Havaianas most. For flip flops, it is definitely not cheap but I don’t care!

I don’t know what to write.  But  I  want to  since I  can’t  think  of  anything  else  to  do  right  now.   Let’s  see.  There.  An earthquake.  I can feel it now.  It is happening.  Could this be the end of the world?   What happens now?  Am I gonna die? And all I could do is wait.and.hope.and.pray.that.it.stops.soon.or.i.am.gonna.die.of.heart.attack!  Okay, it’s over now.  I really hope so! OH-meine gute! What a blog entry! I am just totally blank right now. (So what am I doing here?)

My thought bubbles:

  • Starbucks planner 2007. For days, I’ve been so excited just thinking and knowing that soon the Starbucks planner will be available. I can’t wait.
  • Christmas. I am not that excited anymore since for me Christmas means expenses. Hehe. Anyhow, I am reminded first of my Christmas wishlist. Very soon, I will be posting here my list and I hope...well, at least hope that good hearts grant my wishes. Secondly, I’m serious now when I say I want to start shopping for gifts EARLY, so I better start.
  • Widgets. I adore, especially the translator. OH-meine gute!
  • I wish Windows has Dashboard like Mac. My desktop nearly looks like Mac’s sans the Dashboard. Hahaha!
  • Max Brenner. Love this resto and the “joke” that goes with it.
  • I love my Vaio. Tee hee!
  • I bought a lot of DVDs but haven't found time to watch them.  Disc 1 of The Sopranos has been sleeping in my player for two weeks now and I haven't finished it yet.  I guess it's about time I shift to Dr. House, eh?
  • Louise, my shih tzu is almost 2 months pregnant courtesy of my other doggie, Alfie! I'm actually nervous because no one at home knows what to do the moment she delivers her puppies. I plan to bring her to the vet soon for check-up.
